Chesty cough-how to help??

My LB is almost 4 months and caught a cold last week. His chesty cough is still lingering and won't budge. I'd even say it's got a bit worse. I've ask for cough med but there's only ones for dry tickly coughs. Any tips or suggestions? It's horrible seeing him unable to clear his chest and it sounds awful!!!

Take him to the GP. He may need antibiotics for a chest infection, or he may have a viral wheeze which needs nebuliser/inhaler.
