Ok this maybe a long one but I feel I need to start from the beginning to get a full picture
So my son has asthma has had alway diagnosed 2 years ago after a string of chest infections - back in January he had a severe chest infection and was admitted to hospital where he stayed for 3 days since then I feel he is just not right on the day he was admitted he had a spot appear which was later diagnosed as Jxg his asthma is still bad he takes 2 doses of the purple inhaler morning and night plus 2 doses of blue inhaler morning and night and a tablet every night he also takes his inhaler if needed through the day his allergies have also blown up since then he had a bad reaction a few weeks ago which lead to burns under one of his eyes! His Jxg is spreading also so since January his asthma his allergies and his Jxg seem to be getting worse, he had bloods taken first set came back ellavated creatine levels second set fine he has a Jxg app in October and allergy testing in November but I just can't help feeling that there could be something underlying that is being missed
He takes piriton every morning and through the day if needed which often it is ! (He says his eyes burn)
He is 6
Is this just bad luck or something lurking ?

Do you know if you have mold in your house? Does he have any of those special mattresses or covers ? How often do you dust?
When you say he ll do an allergy testing you mean a food one or an environmental one? Have you tried to stop dairy to see how he reacts?

No mould and a clean house I hate dusting but it does get done, I am not sure what the allergy testing is I think we see someone first then they decide best course, he loves his milk and yougart seats loads always has done he has only been worse since going into hospital before that he was not too bad it seems to have kicked something into overdrive and made him have stronger reactions x thank you I will look at his diet but not sure that would cause his skin to burn round his eye x

do you wash bedding covers at 60 or higher?
do you use synthetic or cotton bedding and wash it regularly at 60 or higher?
do you use the long or short cycles on the washing mashine? extra rinse?

btw I have eczema that sometimes comes up around my eyes.
took me ages to realise that I get it if I eat too many berries or citrys fruit.

No pets cotton bedding washed at 60 degrees, perhaps I should Change his bed and mattress altogether can you get allergy ones?

You see any allergy med can irritate his eyes even his inhalers could which would explain why it happened since last hospital visit
You could try artificial tears to see if it's cause they re too dry
I would look into natural fabric conditioners, Washing liquid, shower gel etc something in his environment makes his very sick and this could make the world of difference

Yes you can hypoallergenic ones
Also you can get a specific spray that kills dust mites in your carpet
If you can remove all items of clothing and books from his bedroom or put them in his wardrobe and wipe the floor (is it wooden) with wet towel every evening

you can get mite proof matress covers.

what kind of hoover do you have?
bagless ones are not very allergy friendly, ideally you need something with a hepa(?) filter.

We are about to re do his room should I take his carpet out? I removed all his soft toys and his clothes when this first started, I have a hetty Hoover is that ok or should I look at that too? I can't think of anything we have changed I use fairy for his cloths I tried a natural one for a month it made no difference, I will look at the changing all my cleaning products which are the best sort? I use ecover on and off should I stick with that?

you should stick to whatever works.
natural products are good but they sometimes contains harsh substances (the natural perfume limonene for example or lanolin)
carpet it depends again. one one hand hard floors are easy to clean, on the other hand carpets cling to dust so that not as much is in the air...

My best friend is actually allergic to Piriton. That might be worth thinking about.

Another friends child asthma was like yours getting worse and worse. I would not recommend this but in the end she did a load research online, (not sure where) and decided to take him off all his meds unless he could feel an attack coming. There was a few hairy weeks, and then he actually got better.
Maybe the increased drug use is actually making him worse, and is worth discussing with his medical team.
I certainly am not saying you should think about taking him if his prescribed medication.

If you can remove the carpet that'd be brilliant, carpets are awful for breathing while sleeping
Yes we do ecover as well
Because you don't know the culprit all you can do is follow some steps to track down what's triggering it- see what you can do and record any changes on him
If I were you I'd try the artificial tears and try to be off dairy just for a few days
