My LB had silent reflux as a baby (he was premie) and was on gaviscon and ranitidine for it. This resolved, and he was off meds by about 18 months.
He is now nearly 3, and suddenly the acid is back
he started gulping, gagging and incessantly burping acid about a week ago. We saw the GP yesterday and he's back in ranitidine, which is already helping-he wants to eat again! I asked why it could be flaring suddenly, his response was 'it just happens'. Not sure I can believe that after nearly 18 months if can flare for no particular reason?
