I think I know what she means. Is this normal? Only happened for a short time. Should I be worried?

Hello. Sometimes this can happen when water gets in the ears say from bath time or swimming. Also, can you see any wax just by looking into her ears? Don't try and remove wax if you do see some, always get your GP's advice, as it is very easy to push wax further down into the ear canal onto the ear drum and cause pain and damage.

There is never any harm in visiting your GP to have your daughter checked out, and this is something I always recommend.

Hope the problem soon resolves
Best wishes
Kate

Thanks Kate. She is suffering from a post nasal drip at the moment and just started a steroid nasal spray so maybe it is connected? I will take to GP if she mentions it again.

I get this randomly where I can hear my heart - even without any cold symptoms or water in ears etc. It slightly freaked me out the first time, it is like a foetal heart monitor being on. I think it is a kind of tinnitus.

But if your DD has ENT symptoms, that seems a more likely explanation.
