My daughter has had water infections since she was 3 one was so bad it infected her kidneys and resulted in her having a fit and being on a drip for a week. She's under a consultant who does scans every 6months and she's on long term antibiotic...
My daughter is not clean at night and she needs to wear pull ups. The odd day she wakes up completely dry the next it's full.
I'm at my wits end as consultant keeps seeing me every 6 months but surely she needs more investigation...
Anyone got any advice?

I think about 1 in 10 children or more are still wet at night at 7, so while it's not ideal, it's still normal for a child that age. In normal circumstances you could go to your GP and ask for treatment - there is a tablet that they can take which surpresses nightime urination and gets the body in the habit of voiding during the day, but given your DD's history, I'm guessing this should only be taken under advice of the consultant. Why don't you talk to your GP about it and see whether they advise you seeing the consultant more urgently to discuss this?

It's absolutely with the realms of 'normal' at that age.

I really hope she doesn't hear you describing her as "not clean" as that would be pretty upsetting for her I think, given that she can't help it.

No I mean 'not clean' in parents terms I don't say it around her as I think it's connected to her history of UTI's.

It might be connected, but even if she didn't suffer from them it really wouldn't be that unusual at her age.

She was dry at night around 3 and a half then she's suffered with the UTI's. Poor girl Sad
