DD has had a high fever since yesterday afternoon (daycare measured it as 39 and called me to pick her up. In the evening it had gone up to 40.2, paracetemol didn't reduce it much and had gone a bit higher a couple hours later). In the night she complained that her body itched all over, and her arms and legs looked red but that might have just been flushing from the fever.
This morning she's still itchy, has a couple of raised red spots (one on her thigh, one on her arm and possibly one on her cheek), don't look to be fluid filled though. Also has a very sore throat, can only manage to eat ice lollies. And a couple of hours ago I noticed a rash on her arm, very small flat red spots going from her hand almost up to her elbow. Looks like possibly the same is starting on her feet too. I checked with a glass and they do disappear under pressure.
I thought at first she might be getting chicken pox but the arm rash is just weird and not like chicken pox at all.
