4 year old DD had a red sore area behind her ear, I took her to the GP who prescribed antibiotics, orally and an ointment. It improved, and ceased to feel sore or bother her, but there is still a bit that looks slightly red. She has finished the course of medicine. Do I need to take her back or is this normal after an infection?

How long was the course as my GP didn't prescribe a long enough course for Strep A but fortunately we finally saw the consultant who ensured dd had a the required 3 weeks worth!

Hi thank you for the reply: 5 days, than another one for 6 days..It is almost gone, just a little bit red, but I am not sure if that means there is some of the infection still left or if it is just an after effect..
