1 week before my boy's first birthday he got the runs- no biggie (I thought) everything goes in his mouth and we'd just got back from Spain so I didn't fret that he had picked up a bug.
... 10 weeks on and we still are having 3-4 explosions a day!
I have:
- Taken him off dairy (6weeks now) his poo no longer smells of cheese and his eczema has totally cleared but no change other than that.
- I have started giving him Pro-biotic drops (1week now)- no change
- I have taken him to the docs and they have tested his poo twice and it has come back clear of any parasites etc.
He is:
- Fat (doesn't seem to have lost weight during the past 10 weeks) but looks like a nice podgy 14 month old.
- crap at night (wakes with tummy ache and painful wind) infacol helps.
- always hungry. His poo looks pretty similar to it did on the way in- I can identify which meal it is! He is obviously not getting the benefit from his food as it passes through him so all he wants to do is eat.
I don't know where to go from here! Although he is podgy, I worry such a long time without getting what he needs from his food will cause long-term damage or stunt his growth.
Does this story sound familiar to anyone? I could really do with knowing whee to go from here!
Thank you
