Green poo in FF baby

My DS is nearly 10 weeks old and on Cow & Gate Comfort formula. He did one green poo (like pea soup!) last Sunday, so I took him to the baby clinic where the HV said if it's just one, he may have had an upset tummy. Normal for him seems to be a mustardy poo every 12 hours or so. On Friday, he was very fussy, cried a lot and only did one green poo in the morning. Saturday he only did one in the morning, it was green with a tiny bit of red (Google said most likely anal fissure but I can't see one). Yesterday's and this morning's have been dark green. He doesn't seem to have much trouble when pooing but is screaming at other times with what we think is gas. He goes cold and clammy/sweaty at these times. He's eating slightly less than normal but seems OK otherwise, is still smiling and cooing when not crying.

I'm taking him to baby clinic again this afternoon, was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what this might be and how we can help him. We've tried extra burping, warm baths, massage, rotating and bicycling his legs, gripe water and his vibrating bouncy chair. Not a lot seems to soothe him. It's interrupting his sleep routine, which makes him overtired and even more cranky. It's stressing everyone out and I hate watching him in so much pain. I've taken pictures of some of these green nappies just in case (something I'd never envisaged myself doing, but such are the joys of motherhood it seems!). Can anyone help? Should I skip the HV and go straight to the Dr? Am I going to be fobbed off with the whole immature gut thing?

I don't know, is it normal?? The HVs advised me to take him to the GP, who then checked him over and pronounced him fine. We've switched him over to Hipp anyway, see if the praebiotic thingies (whatever they are) do anything for him. He doesn't seem to mind so far and has actually cheered up quite a lot. Still one green one a day though.

Green can be normal. Red isn't. They only get anal fissures if they've got rather constipated. So either they've got so constipated so young that the first thought is cows milk protein intolerance/allergy. Or they are having blood without constipation, where the first thought is also cows milk protein intolerance/allergy.

Please seee an actual doctor.

The doctor just said to go back if we see any more red. DS's heartrate, capillary refill and stomach were all fine, he said. I don't think he's constipated as it's not hard and pellet-y. There's been no more red bits since Saturday, so I'm hoping whatever it was is passing. If it comes back, we'll look into the CMPA business. Thanks all!
