Would you please have a look at this picture of DDs rash and tell me what this could be?

DD (7) came home from school this week saying she'd been bitten by a nat and complained that it itched and hurt. I put first aid spray on and said to stop scratching.
This is what it looked like yesterday. It's bigger today, I have no idea what could make it look like that?

Would you please have a look at this picture of DDs rash and tell me what this could be?

Its a scratched, angry insect bite. Keep putting cream on (germolene, sudocreme, savlon, whatever) and keep an eye on it. DD has lots and scratches in her sleep.

Looks like a bite.
Give her some antihistamines, put a cold compress on it, keep an eye foot the next 12-24 hour's if no better, gp or local walk in centre.

Could it have been a tick bite? Google images of bullseye rash and see if it's similar. If so, she would need GP for antibiotics. In fact, I would probably go to OOH tomorrow anyway, as it's got bigger.

do you live somewhere there could be ticks? because the ring around it could be the 'bullseye' they say you get after a tick bite. (I don't know, i've never been bitten by a tick)

Sorry, slow Typer... She's been complaining of feeling sick and tired over the last couple of days. I put it down to the heat.

No idea if there are ticks here , we're in east London. DH hasn't heard of there being ticks, and he grew up here

Just looked on NHS online, London doesn't seem to be an area for ticks with Lyme disease.

Draw a ring around the red area with a biro. Check in the morning to see if bigger/smaller/the same. That means if you do feel the need to see ooh they can see the changes very easily. The other thing to think of is if there is a Sunday pharmacist anywhere near you - ask them to look.

Looks nasty. Could be due to a tick, definitely get her to a doctor and make sure you say all of her symptoms. I wouldn't be surprised if she needs antibiotics and the sooner the better.
