Apologies for the blurry photo, he is a wriggler!
This is ds3's back tonight. Started yesterday morning with 2 blisters on his back and a spot on his leg. Now like this BUT no temperature, a tiny bit itchy last night, a bit tired we than normal yesterday, fine today and no more blisters. Is this it??When ds1&2 had cp there was no doubt as to what it was (while I was pregnant with ds3).

The reason I am asking is that we are due to go on holiday with my pregnant sil on Monday...

Can you zoom in on one of the bigger spots as it is hard work to tell!

My DD recently had chicken pox with only 7 spots in total. I thought she had been bitten on holiday but nursery thought chicken pox and GP confirmed it. No itching, no illness, just they handful of spots. They didn't even "crust" they just kind of shrank away.
Fingers crossed it isn't chicken pox and you can enjoy your holiday Thanks

Oh dear, I think it is but only because I don't know what else it could be, dh thinks it can't be as he is so much less ill than his brothers were.

It looks like it, my oldest was not Ill at all, you'll know for sure by morning, but in fairness won't be contagious by Monday?

Fingers crossed we might be ok by Monday. We are driving and then staying in a cottage so no risk to anyone but sil. There is no way I would risk my niece or nephew to be, so it looks like a waiting game for a few days now.

My dd started with very feint blisters which progressed by day 4 to very red angry blisters, we initially thought it was a mild case but turned very severe as the days went on. It's hard to tell from your picture, are the fluid filled blisters? If so, I'd say it's the start of c pox I'm afraid.

No, no blisters left today - he had two or three yesterday which have just 'shrunk' back down to red spots like a pp said her daughter's did.

when its scabbed over its not contagious anymore but i think you might need the doctors to confirm this one

Sorry do you mean to confirm that it's chicken pox or confirm when he stops being contagious?
I feel like I would be wasting a gp appointment to take him in to ask as he doesn't need anything either way iyswim.

3dogs, could it have been heat rash? My baby son's heat rash looks like that...
