Red Blisters On Dd. What Can They Be?

Dd has had these same kind of spots about 4 times over several years, but this time they are causing her distress. They are red, blister type spots with a hard almost spiky top that has a darker mark in the centre. She has 9 of them ~ only on one arm and they are itchy and she says it feels tingly and sharp when I touch them.
In the past, whenever I've managed to get a doctors appointment, they have gone down by the time we get to see him, so I've never got a proper dx for them.
She's never complained of them being this itchy before though, also, I'm sure they've never felt spiky before, so they may be different this time.

She's had chickenpox.
We don't have animals, not been near any either. No fleas, no bedbugs and I don't have any spots even though we share a bed.

Any ideas please?

I should also add that they have also in the past appeared on her forehead and on her 'triangle' (knicker area). They have never been spread all over her body.
She is 8.

Another vote for shingles. DS had them when he was younger and that is just how he described the pain.

Could well be shingles. Dd had it recently. gP said to me that fluid filled blisters are either shingles or chicken pox and as dd had had chicken pox it must be shingles. I believe shingles only comes out on one side of the body?

You can get it multip,e times, often if run down or stressed. It's not contagious as such. However if someone who hadn't had chicken pox poked and prodded the blisters and then put their fingers in their mouth they could get chicken pox. But it's hard to catch. Advice is that you don't need to stay off school unless unwell.

Don't shingles tend to aways reappear in the same place? I could be wrong about that.

My dd1 gets something similar, and I've always assumed they are some sort of insect bite, but never identified what it is, the GP suggested some sort of small flies that you don't really notice.

This is a photo of dds. They were on her lower back/loin area. She complained of them being spikey, almost like little electric shocks at times.

I don't think they're always in the same place. My mums had shingles twice and had the rash in different places.

In your photo they do a look a bit spread out compared to what dd had and also how my mums was.

They do look a bit too spread out to be shingles.

Molluscum wouldn't go down quickly I don't think.

No, I don't think molluscum. My cousins Ds had those years ago, but they were not fluid filled blisters, more hardened bumps I think.

If they're fluid filled then from what my gP said it must be shingles.

When did they come out this time? If you can get anti virals started in 72 hours it can lessen the attack so it may be worth a trip to OOH.

Think it's too late then as it's into the 4th day now, but Saturday they came up more so and that's when they started to hurt/sting and look blistered. She started off with three and they have increased to nine in number ~ the last one having come out since last night.
