Height, weight different lines should I worry?

DD is 8.5 yrs. Today we went shopping and I realised that clothes don't really fit very well for her age. She's about 1.3m high so average but her age but weight is 25.4 kg. which is on the 25th line. She's not a great eater never has been. She does a lot of sport, swimming and gymnastics and sport most days at school. To me she is quite lean and very strong. Do I worry that she's a bit under weight? By about 2 kgs. Or is that acceptable within the normal range?

I think a difference like that between height and weight is fine. My daughter gets weighed/measured annually and always cruised the 25th centile line for weight. Since her height has shot up she's now 75th centile for height and 50th for weight. Dietician sees no problem with this, just expects her to be tall and long limbed like her dad.
As long as she has plenty of energy I wouldn't worry.

There is supposed to be a difference b/w height and weight lines for the great majority of children (with weight being lower than height). Your dd sounds spot on for a healthy weight, not underweight. A child on the 50th percentile for weight and height is right at the top of the healthy weight range.

As long as height and weight are within 2 per centiles of each other eg. 2nd-25th or 25th-75th then that's within the normal range. HTH

Agiles make sure your dc is drinking enough. Check colour of urine in nappy should not be darker than a very pale straw colour. Also home made purée apple ( just peel and chop an apple and blend) is often good for constipation
