I've run out of ds's desmopressin, and the only desmopressin I can find is what was left over from dd's lot, four years ago. Is it OK to use? He doesn't have it every night, only on occasions when bedwetting would be a problem, such as sleepovers or camping. And we're going camping tomorrow, and he's in a baaaad, several wets a night phase right now.

Is it a nasal spray? Shelf life is 3 years according to a google search so your old stuff would be out if date.

No, it's 200mcg tablets.

Where do you live? I have loads of the things!

No. The shelf life is 2 years on tablets and nasal spray.

You need to get an emergency prescription.

Looks like tablets are 3 years too unfortunately www.medicines.org.uk/emcmobile/medicine/658/spc#SHELF_LIFE

The expiry on ds's current lot is 03/2016 so less two years. It's likely yours are out of date.

Bum!

Emergency trip to supermarket to top up on pyjama pants, then. He hates wearing them around other kids. And right now he's piddling so much that we sometimes have to change him twice a night.

Phone the doctors surgery at 8 am, explain and beg for an emergency script.

How many doctor's surgeries are open at 8 am on a Saturday morning? If you did that around here, you would get told by a machine to call 111.

In this area you'd get put through to the local or of hours service and they'd write you a script.
