Sore willy

DS (3 years) complaining regularly of a sore willy particularly at night (he still wears night time nappies and it has got worse since Boots stopped selling Pampers underjams so we are having to use Huggies Pull Ups which are pretty tight). I've taken him to the GP before about this who gave him cream but it didn't really make it much better. You can't really see anything on it. Is it possible it's not being cleaned properly? DH tends to bath him while I feed the baby and he is wondering what age do you need to start cleaning under the foreskin?

Did they take a wee sample to test for UTIs?

Could well be that. You don't need to be retracting the foreskin and cleaning at that age. Just clean round it.

Is he drinking enough do you think?

Sudocrem on the top and let it soak in. Pull skin back very lightly to help to work it in. DS used to get this as well. Get rid of nightime nappies. You will have to go through the 'getting up in night to change sheets' at some time and it sounds that sooner rather than later would be more beneficial.
