Itchy Cradle Cap

My 13 w/o has recently started getting bad cradle cap. It's gotten worse in the last few weeks and now seems to be causing her discomfort. Even after washing her hair and getting rid of all the loose flakes she's still scratching at her head. It's starting to affect her sleeping. Should I take her to the doctor or is this something that'll work itself out? She's pfb incase there was any doubt!

What do you wash her hair with? My dd had it quite bad and I put olive oil on her scalp during the day then washed her hair with dentinox in the evenings. It's a lot better now so just do dentinox as her shampoo. HTH

Thanks I'd just been using top to toe as her shampoo but I'll try that.
