Just that, he's a worrier like me.
Broke my heart to hear him say it and reassured him. Putting it down to tiredness but am concerned he is young to say something like that
Any experience of this? X

I have some experience with this. When I was pretty young I also worried too much about everything. You have to help your son to be more positive and to enjoy life because this can become serious. And now is the time when he learns how to live his life.

Thanks Kate, I too was and am a worrier although much of it now is down to life events. You're right I will focus on being positive and making life as fun as possible xx

I was like this as a child and sadly have generalised anxiety disorder as a grown up...but I'm not sure that the two are linked. The best thing you can do is just reassure him that everything will be ok, that there is no point in worrying about things you can't do anything about and that it is totally normal to get worried about things from time to time, and get him to talk anout what he is worried about and you can try to get him to "reason it out". Good luck x

I too worried a lot when younger. I have unfortunately had depression and anxiety since 12ish. But that doesn't mean your son will. It's horrible when you feel so helpless.
