Our drs is terrible to get an appointment so ill have a go tomorrow but I'm a cancer survivor and lumps make me panic so has anyone got any experience of this?
It's about the size if a pound coin and not hard do not a gland I don't think.

Abscess? An old boyfriend was prone to them just under the chin, but before you'd call it neck, if that makes sense? His were sore to the touch. Fascinating to watch it being drained, though.

Swollen gland, they pop up all over the place all over the place, according to my doctor.

Mine get really really sore.

Stones in salivary glands can cause soft swellings I think. Hope you get in to docs quickly so you can stop worrying.

Thankyou.
Out stupid drs seems to be triage only at the moment which means getting an appointment when they offer one and she's just started secondary school so reluctant to have time off iyswim.

I know you said you don't think it's a gland but I have a gland under my chin that seems to come up when i'm run down. And it's really painful.

Dr said its a gland!
I'm not worried now but do feel for her, she's started secondary school and although she loves it has lost weight and is very tired.
She needs building back up.

What a relief! Starting secondary school is a big change-going from being a big fish in a familiar pond to a small fish in a strange one. Hopefully she'll settle in in no time Smile
