DD (3 and a half years old) often produces very pale poo. She also does normal coloured stuff. A while ago we went to the Dr about this and they said she's slightly anaemic. We increased iron in her diet and give her Spatone sachets most days. Yesterday she did v. pale poo again.
Should I go back to the Dr? Whenever I look online it's always listed as a sign of something serious, but is it ever normal to produce pale poo every now and then? BTW, she's occassionally prone to constipation - don't know if that's relevant.
Thanks.

DD had a blood test for coeliac disease, a year or so ago, when I thought that might be an issue, but apparently it isn't.

My daughter too has pale poo. Was wondering whether should go dr. She has always gone regularly every night before bed but recently seems slightly constipated. We see a homeopath regularly and have appointment tomorrow so I am going to mention it to her. Sorry I can't add anything but maybe lots of toddlers have pale poo!!

I've noticed both mine have very pale poo at the end of viral illnesses when they haven't been eating. It then tends to go back to normal so I haven't worried too much.
There's my contribution to the pale poo thread!

Lol well we are none the wiser then... My ds has been tested for coeliac so cant be that. And it's been too long for it to be viral related..
My ds2 (2.10) also does pale poos. He also has bad breath sometimes and is not really growing too much. We are waiting to see doctor.

A couple of months ago ds1 had a sickness bug which took him a while to get over. About a week after being sick he did a very pale poo. The doctor said it was a bit worrying but also that it can happen after a severe bug. I looked it up and was completely freaked out by everything I read! I think it was due to him having vomited a lot of bile. It's bile that gives poo the brown colour, apparantly. Doesn't really help you though, I suppose! Sorry!
