Slapped Cheek?

BreeVanDerTramp · 07/02/2012 14:13

DS2, 17 months has been off food for a few days, high temp, snotty and very clingy. Today cheeks are bright red and spotty, feel like sandpaper, any thoughts?

I am 19 weeks pregnant.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It does sound likely. Book an appointment with your gp. Smile

Sounds like slapped cheek to me - IME they are more ill before the rash appears than after it has iyswim. Being pregnant you really must see your gp though.

Will call GP not sure if it's DS or me who needs appt as he is okay.

Had a miscarriage after DS1 contracted hand, foot and mouth so quite worried Sad

If it's sandpapery then it could be scarlet fever. You need to see the GP anyway.
