My 13mth old DD has had a horrendous cough for the past six weeks and we've done two rounds of antibiotics and are now on a round of inhalers. Really want to get a second opinion as it's not improving and she's now not wanting to eat as she's being sick when she coughs. Does anyone know a good pediatrician in SW19 area - happy to go privately...

Dr Hay Portland Hospital Harley Street. Excellent but pricey. Has helped us many times when GPs had totally the wrong end of the stick though, so we happily (
) pay the fees. You can make an appointment by phoning Portland hospital or looking on Portland website, he is very busy, so you will need to say that is is urgent otherwise it might take a few weeks. If he is away, he sometimes has Prof Weinberg standing in, who is also excellent.
