What else could chicken pox type spots be?

My DD (2 and a bit)has spots on her lower back that look like chicken pox spots. She has about 12 in total.

As she had CP very badly at 13 months old I'm assuming this is something else, but not sure what. She's still in nappies and she did have a bit of nappy rash last week when we were on holiday at the beach and at first I thought it could have spread from that, but that claered up instantly with cream.

Any ideas?

are they in a cluster that follows a line along her body? It could be shingles which is a reactivation of the chicken pox virus.

shingles

Having chicken pox as a baby makes it more likely that they get shingles as a child. My ds had chicken pox at 5 1/2 months and shingles at the age of 3.

Thank you.

I think I will take her to the GP just in case. We were meant to be starting potty training tomorrow and I don't want to do it if she is ill

Turns out she has a staph infection. Cream and oral ABs that so far I have failed to get into her!

Thank you!
