Myths behind constellations....

Any recommendations for a young children's book of greek myths especially those related to star constellations? Dd is 4.5 so this is for me to read to her (not read herself) - her comprehension is very good. Pretty pictures essential .

Thanks to the pp who recommended 'The story of everything'. Got that for Xmas and dd loves it. She's mad for non-fiction, especially science, at the moment - so any other favourites welcome.

Usborne used to do a great greek myths book, not related to constellations though. Maybe they still do. It was a large hardback, lots of pictures too.

Nothing to do with greek myths but this is fantastic non-fiction: Is a Blue Whale the Biggest thing there is? - mindblowing stuff.

Those both look great thanks! Seems very soon to be buying yet more books after Xmas but it seems a shame not to feed her enthusiasm. Library is a bit limited for this stuff.

There is an excellent Ladybird book available quite cheaply on Amazon - 'The Stars and their Legends' by Eric Worvill. The illustrations show the figures and animals associated with the stars. The legends are not retold in great detail, but the book contains the basic stories. You might like 'Atticus the Storyteller's 100 Greek Myths' by Lucy Coats and Anthony Lewis.
