Factual books for a 2.5 year old?

My DD has lots of picture books, but I would like to get her some mroe factual books. we're out of the first words stage, but I'm at a loss at what is the next step. She loves nature so I would like to find her a book that is age appropriate that descibes different kinds of insects and trees etc or even something like an encylopedia type thing, again age appropriate. I don't want to stuff her full of facts but there must be something out there that is factual but aimed at toddlers?

my ds 3yrs loves the beginner series from Usborne books. I actually sell them as well cat me for more info

There are loads of books around like the Usborne, DK types, we have ones on frogs and dinosaurs and things like that. I also think at that age you could also get a book for an older child and read it together and let your DD look at the pictures. Oxfam book shops are great for non fiction kids books.

Thanks for your replies, I guess I have just been looking in the wrong places! Rezmum, I'm not sure how to cat you I'm not very au fait with all that have looked on amazon for the beginners books thought and they look good. Also saw the usborne first picture encylopedia and nature books, would they be any good for her age?

Thanks cazzybabs and milojar, I have ordered a selection of the Eyeopeners and the Usborne Beginners from Amazon, amd just waiting for them to arrive. By coincidence I came across an Eyeopeners about penguins bought that and DD loves it and I thought the stickers it came with were an added bonus!

Hi, Have u tried Mini IQ? gr8 website and u can buy online , or try hosting a party at home, top class commission in goods. I recently got over £70 of stuff for £17 by holding a party for a few friends. They also catalogue by age/stage .
