Hello all
I have been reserving library books to read to DS that I enjoyed as a child.

I was wondering if you would be so kind to re-jog my memory of more book by letting me know your favourite stories if you were a primary school child in this era.

Many thanks!

Charlotte's Web.

And there was one I loved called The Ghost and Bertie Boggin, about a boy who had a ghost living in his coal shed. But it's out of print now.

The Ruby Ferguson Jill pony books, Sue Barton nurse books and Enid Blyton school stories (which one of mine now adores too)

We made my Mum read us The Hobbit over and over again. I loved anything Roald Dahl or Enid Blyton.

MeMySonAndl · 21/05/2016 22:28

At the beginning of the 80's my favourite book was Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, but I was also a big fan of Herman Hesse, Cervantes' short stories and Shakespeare (I know I wasn't a very normal 10 -11 year old so better to ignore my suggestions Blush)

Potcallingkettle · 21/05/2016 22:29
