New series needed for 11 yr old ds

It's a very advanced reader for his age but it still need to be age appropriate any suggestions

And I know that I've been criticised for suggesting this before, but 'light' classics, like 'Christmas Carol'. DS and DD2 (12 and 11) are both reading
'To Kill a Mockingbird', and are both enjoying it.

If he's read hunger games then Im not sure you need to worry too much about age appropriateness anymore. The Hunger Games trilogy is disturbing to read, far more so than the movies.

But in a more helpful way I would suggest:

Mortal Engines/Predator cities series
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel
The Kane Chronicles (by the percy jackson author)
possibly His Dark Materials (he'll be able to read it at a certain level as a story and then revisit out when he's older and get the religious stuff)
Fighting fantasy series (for a bit of 1980s retro game fun)
The Inheritance cycle (Eragon)
The Divide series
Alex Rider series

Diana Wynne Jones is brilliant - she has books for all age groups but the Chrestomanci series is a great place to start.

Oh yes I forgot Chrestomanci. DS1 also loved Enchanted Glass and the Homeward Bounders. Oh and Howl's Moving Castle.

The CHERUB series from Muchamore but be aware some deal with drugs and sex, although i think they do it well.

Bodyguard: Hostage by Chris Bradford - action packed, not too demanding as a read

Maze Runner by James Dashner - dystopian and action packed (first film just out)

Jimmy Coates by Jim Graig - action packed, penny of books in the series, not a demanding read
