Check out Mumsnet's Children's book club for author webchats, recommendations, tips and freebies.
She has enjoyed the Theodore Boone books & she loves the No 1 Ladies Detective agency. She didn't like Agatha Christie. I think she's maybe a bit too young yet for my Colin Dexter collectionAny more recommendations for books of a similar type. I don't mind them a little bit gritty but not with gratuitous sex & violence.
Dead Time by Anne Cassidy - Girl Missing by Sophie mcKenzieRunning Girl by Simon Mason is very good but maybe more for 13+ So just check the storyline
Sherlock Holmes of course!
