Greek myths for primary age children

Has anyone got any recommendations for nicely written, but true to 'original' Greek Myths for primary age children? I read DS (5) the story of Ceres and Prosepine last and he really enjoyed it but it was just in one of those 'Children's Treasury' volumes and was, in any case, poorly written (IMO).

He can listen very well to stories - I usually read to him for at least 45 mins a night - so I'd prefer something a bit more substantial than a short picture book (although illustrations are a must). Any ideas?

Thanks

We have this Usborne one.

It has a large selection and is very well illustrated.

Ooh thanks coppertop, that looks excellent. Will see if they have it in the library. this one had caught my eye but the Usborne looks perhaps more age appropriate?

We have this and this

The first one is more like a story treasury and is ideal for reading aloud. The second has some fun bits and pieces.

Do you have D'Aulaire's Greek Myths? I got it when I was maybe a little older, but I love it to this day. Simple stories and lovely illustrations.

We have Atticus the storyteller on CD in the car. It's great because the stories are not long so you can play it on the school run.

Roger Lancelyn-Green is the name I remember from my primary days.

wow! I have had absolutely no engagement with the Myths until the other night, so this is all great. Think I'm going to have to get myself to a book shop so I an have a proper look through and decide. Thank you all

The Odyssey is also fantastic reading (obviously a children's version) for children your ds age.
