I haven't read this and are wondering if it is suitable to give my 10 year old to read Blush.

it's hard and old fashioned but if they are a good reader should be fine

Suitable as in content or language?
Perfectly good for a 10 yr old, but actually pretty tedious in places: a lot more long-winded than "Oliver!" the musical.

Okay, thank you.

He is a good reader and has read some very old books that used to be DH's so might read differently to ones I buy if. I have bought DD a copy of Dr Dolittle and it has been changed to be more PC.

I will wait and get The Pickwick Papers.

He hasn't read Harry Potter. It doesn't matter now as I was thinking of giving him OT for his birthday but we have decided what we have got is enough so I will buy the books another time. I have already bought OT so that is why I was asking.

My 9yo has an abridged version of Oliver Twist which she enjoyed, 10yo has read it too. I got it from Amazon.
