Note: Please bear in mind that this is a discussion board, not a place to advertise childcare vacancies or recruit childminders/nannies etc. We don't mind the odd mumsnet regular mentioning that they're looking for a job/mindee (although you're probably better off in MN Local) but repeated job "ads" and posts from nanny/babysitting agencies aren't fair to people who are paying for small business ads. Do feel free to report any you see. Thanks, MNHQ.

S max? Or something cheaper?

The new C Max has seven seats too - might be cheaper to run. Our 2006 C Max still runs like a blinking dream and is surprisingly cheap on fuel.

Agree with christmashope. It is a great car. Mine is an 08 plate and cost I think £9/10k 6 months ago. Mine only tends to do short journeys with the odd longer run here and there and i have had no problems.

I have a diesel smax and love it, I have 6 children every day in it going to nursery/school, toddlers etc I also manage to fit my double pram in the boot. That said its fairly tight when all of the kids are in and have school bags etc.

When it is just my family, husband and 2 kids it is fab as a family car.

I would definately recommend a smax. Had a ford galaxy before and it felt like I was driving a van whereas the smax is great and feels more like a car.
