Mumsnet

Note: Please bear in mind that this is a discussion board, not a place to advertise childcare vacancies or recruit childminders/nannies etc. We don't mind the odd mumsnet regular mentioning that they're looking for a job/mindee (although you're probably better off in MN Local) but repeated job "ads" and posts from nanny/babysitting agencies aren't fair to people who are paying for small business ads. Do feel free to report any you see. Thanks, MNHQ.

We are staying in Edinburgh
(New Town at Leith Walk end) and have been let down by our babysitter forSaturday night. Any recommendations or ideas? Also, what do you pay per hour as have no idea of city prices. Thanks (children 10 and 11 and we will be in a restaurant nearby).

Try local childminders? Or childcare.co.uk? Or do sitters operate there?

Try Here. The second post is someone advertising as a babysitter. Or here. Or here.

Thanks so much. Hopefully sorted although city prices are eye watering.

I'd personally try sitters or butterfly personnel for a babysitter. I know a few qualified nursery nurses who work for these agencies to earn extra cash and are checked.
