sorry I don't know, although my scar did keep re opening and leaking etc, it went on for nearly 2months. Can you call the midwives at the hospital for some advice? I think you should be able to talk to someone on the wards.

I had a ceasarean a couple of years ago. My wound didn't leak anything. But, I know others have and it had turned out to be perfectly normal.

7 weeks early? Is everything okay now? How's bub?

Mears are you around to adress the leaking wound?

Your wound should be healing well by now, it's possible that you have a wound infection. You need to contact your GP or the midwives for advice as you may need a course of antibiotics.

Hi there,

It sounds like you have a wound infection. I had this after my son was born and needed antibiotics to sort it out. Once I'd had those it was still open but not so much leaking occurred and it healed over a few weeks later.

Pop in and see your GP for advice.

Sounds like a wound infection to me too. I was healing okay after my emergency section until I exerted myself a few weeks after birth and wound opened up - I was leaking smelly fluid (but not blood) and it took 4 different antibiotics to clear it up, and an antibiotic cream. Phone your midwife or your surgery and get it looked at asap. You'll feel tonnes better once they tell you how normal it is.
And take it easy! You need to rest, rest rest!
Hope your lil one is doing okay.

I had that too but as far as I remember only had to get the scar dressed by the nurse and then keep re-dressing it myself.

Take it easy!

Had similar exp with my c/s

You need to get checked by nurse and she may need to take swab to check what/if infection too.

Are you ok to get to doctors etc as you still wont be able to drive.

Congratulations on new baby Hope all is well
