Hi all
this is my first post here, i am expecting my third baby on july 5th though i fully expect it to come the week after as i went 1week over with both my other kids.

My oldest Dd will be 10 in march and current youngest Dd is 14months old.

Our oldest wants to be at the birth, the problem is i have been advised that, because my youngest didn't do the usual twist on the way out and got stuck, i will be better off in hospital as i was one step away from "serious" intervention. I would love her to be there and she is totally set on wanting to be there can anyone tell me whether doncaster royal will allow her, i will be asking the midwife but wanted to know before hand if it would be possible.

You can certainly ask adn if they only allow 1 partner for the birth as some hospitals do, then write to the Supervisor of Midwives and explain your case.... it should not be a problem.
If it is... come back and we'll telll you to complain to AIMS www.aims.org.uk.... a letter to the Chief Exec of your Trust would also do the trick but that's only if you have been told NO numerous times.

Goos lukc with it all

Sorry no idea about the policy for Doncaster (I was born there ) but wanted to say hi, and welcome to MN. The weekends can be quieter, so keep bumping this until someone sees it. We have some MW and doula posters, as well as other Doncaster mums, who may be able to help you.
