which one is the best. If not what's the best way to measure your contractions?

I didn't know such a thing existed.

I would use a dh/birthing partner and a clock.

Is this a product you can buy???

DH timed my contractions using the timer function on his phone. I asked him to do it discreetly as I didn't want obsessing over timings to put me off (watched pot and all that).

There's an online one at contractionmaster.com/ that I used.

ah great, thanks that is useful! I did see one in mothercare, and as I know I'll be over the place I know I won't wan tto be looking at the clock.

So exactly what is the best way of measuring the contractions, do you literally just measure the length of them and how far apart then are?

sorry for all the questions... first timer obviously and 37 weeks today so panicing a little bit!

Use the online one (I had my birthball in front of the pc, naturally ) - you just hit a key when a contraction starts and again when it stops.
I needed it as I was completely convinced in my head that they were coming about every 10 minutes (I kept going oh that was a bit quick) - seeing

It's got to be better than my DH with his palmpilot and stopwatch. He kept getting in such a muddle and missed so many of the contractions because of gadget malfunctions that he was worse than useless... he was in such a panic at becoming a dad bless him
