Hello ... I am an experienced mum with three children of my own, i recently trained as a Doula but have been unable to find anyone in my area (Coventry /Warwickshire )who is willing to have a doula present at their birth! I need women due to give birth within the next 8 weeks. If anyone is interested or knows someone who may be please pass this message on. I will provide this service completely free of charge to the next 2 suitable clients. All I need them to do is supply me with an evaluation after the birth which will count towards my training as practice evidenceWendy

Hello Wendiwoo, I'm in Hall Green J4 of the M42 and I'm due 20th Sept with my 3rd child. This baby will be my 2nd homebirth.
If you want to talk some more you can email me.
I honestly don't know how to tell you how to do this as obviously I don't want to post my details on this page but I have added you to my 'Mates List' found within 'My Mumsnet' so perhaps you can email me simply by clicking on my name, try it, let me know either way.

Hi treadmillmom (great name!) I have subscribed to send you an email through the forwarding system... If you want my home telephone number I can send it you, or email me directly with yours and I can give you a call when it is convenient with you. Hope to chat soon!

Hi, I'm due 21 October but I'm in South Derbyshire so not sure if too far away! Also not sure if I am 'suitable' or not as I am planning to have the baby in hospital (providing it doesn't all go too quickly)! This is my second child. You should be able to send me an email through the system.

Hi expatcat.. thank you very much for your response , i'm not sure exactly how far away you are would have to look on tomtom! hospital birth's are just as viable only really high risk c sections counted out at moment! If you had a quick labour with your first baby I might not make it in time! I will email you!

I am really keen to know if any mums have used a doula for their births and what they found particularly useful (or unhelpful!)... I am new to it and would like to ensure I offer my parents the right balance of support and privacy
