Am 37 weeks and had sex this morning with DH (poor man it had been weeks/months!). Anyway have since gone to the loo and knowing how sex can start things off... question is how soon afterwards would sex be likely to trigger things and how can you tell if there's any 'show' in the sperm that also comes out! Do they look similar?

a show is jelly like and often a pink tinge to it.

A show is clear and jelly-like in consistency. You can get a show over a number of weeks; it doesn't have to mean birth is imminent.

yes, the shows i have had are different to sperm, mine were clear/blood tinged and very "snotty" in consistency.
with DS1, the show happened as labour began, but with DS2 i didn't have the show until just before the 2nd stage - but some people dont go into labour for ages after the show - if you want labour to start though, sex is def the best thing!
keep it up (no pun intended!)
good luck!
xx
