oh it is nothing controversial.. it is my perspective of maternity services as someone who has used the service.. using my personal experiences of my two very different births.

I thought for a bit that it was going to be how to prepare and freeze enough soup prior to the birth.

That is good though

Would love to go and tell them about the experience I had 9 years ago with DS where the night staff basically said "ofgs woman get back into bed, and no you don't need painkillers"

When the day staff came and sprinted me down to the labour suite where DS2 was born 45 minutes later

what an inspiring and marvellous day.. thoroughly enjoyed it and feel very proud of myself, and all teh midwives and women who are driving forward change in maternity services.

thanks, my friend came to cheer me on.. she is an AN teacher and doula too.. and DH came with DD for my bit.. when i had finished DD shouted 'good job mummy'
