for a birth plan? My hospital are trying to push their way but I want to be better prepared myself rather than going with what I am told. Where can I start? I am 27 weeks.

Depends what you're planning, but the homebirth website has loads of generally useful information. I had a pregnancy book that had a lot of information about them, but when talking through it all with a local midwife a lot was irrelevant, as they did automatically some things you have to ask elsewhere. What kind of things are you being 'pushed' towards?
AIMS is another place for good info, sorry you'll have to google as my brain is fried and I can't remember how to do links

Don't know if that'll work but homebirth go to planning a home birth then there's a section on birth plans.
Hopefully someone else will come up with more general websites for you.

well, i would second those suggestions, especially AIMS

the hospital should not push you to deliver in a way you are not comfortable with

it is your choice

so, what is it you would like for your birth? what are your preferences?

Well, I think I'd quite like a homebirth and hubby is with me if that's my decision but having never done this before, the pain worries me as does the fact that the hospital is 35-40 minutes from my home if anything went wrong.

I do love the idea of being at home but the reassurance of hospital is clearly good too.

I'd like to be active and do things in my own time without interferance!

Will have a look at those links so thank you very much
