Tender and bruised feeling in belly after c-section

I had my 3rd section 8 weeks ago, (monday gone).

It was my 1st emergency section, due to what they called 'failure to progress.' (I was trying for a VBA2C) I dispute the 'failure to progress as I found the pain so unbearable I screamed the place down and insited I wanted a section despite being 9 cms. Something just weren't right, baby was in distress, she'd gone back up the birth canal, they didnt know when/if she'd come etc,

They opened me up and found that I had ruptured. They came and explained this to me on day 3.

Now, I have a tender bruised feeling on my belly when I touch it. I never had this with the other 2 but they were elective. Its not my scar thats tender its actually my belly.

I've not quite come to terms with the fact that IF I did go through with a VBA2C would they have picked up the rupture? They insited I was showing no signs of rupture throughout labour, thats why they were happy for me to carry on. It wasn't until they opened me up they found I had ruptured.

I'm scared to lift anything through fear of it splitting.

Is this to be expected due to the fact I had an emergency c-section, or shall I see a G.P. pronto?

I would see a GP anyway although don't you have a hv coming anytime soon? I've only had one emergency c section, but my whole stomach area hurt to touch for a few weeks, really tender. It felt like the skin was hurting, is that what you are feeling? If you are 'into' these things arnica really helps

Thanks Pamplemousse. HV has only been once, that was the midwife/HV swap over, she didnt see the need to come back as I was coping fine.

I have had my 6 week postnantal and all was ok, I didnt think to mention it as it was only 6 weeks after.

It does feel like the skin is hurting yes, and it feels like i've been kicked in the stomach and it feels like I'm bruised inside.

I've heard the word 'Arnica' but dont know what it is, I must have a look and see what it is.

You can get it from boots, its homeopathic, so some will tell you it doesn't work, but I believe it does, and it will do no harm, apart from costing you a few quid so worth a try!
In boots you can get it in a purple or green clicky dipenser thingy, go for the purple one, its slightly 'stronger'.
HTH and it feels better soon, but maybe go to doc just to check, or phone nhs direct or something, fairly sure its the norm with emergency c's though.
