Looking for independant midwife N London after tricksy first birth

Am pregnant with no 2 and desperate to find an independent midwife. DS had cord around neck and was born more dead than alive, followed by couple of awful weeks in neo-natal care. Am certain midwife should have hoiked me in for a c-section/could have done more.

Really don't care about aromatherapy massages/feeling empowered etc etc - just want someone with me who will make sure nothing gets missed this time.

I'm in NW London, does anyone have any experience of any of these - or otherwise have any recommendations? I'd be REALLY grateful.

I've June from Midwives in Partnership booked for next month. Great so far, but I'm late booking. When are you due?

I've a way to go, am due on 25 August. D'you feel as though MiP are pretty thorough?
Is this your first baby?

2nd baby. So far, so thorough. Certainly better than NHS neglect! Think it's best you simply meet 2 or 3 and choose your favourite.

Would a doula suit you, or does it have to be a midwife? Marslady on here is North London, and is by all accounts a fantastic doula.
