Oh God I look like I have three large breasts, the third being my stomach...

I'm sure this didn't happen last time. I've turned into a hobbit!!!!!

I don't mind really, quite like being non-flat tummied, finally I have an excuse! But I'd like not to look pregnant now he's been born...

How long does it take to go a bit flatter, please anyone? And is there anything I can do? Not even sure what the bulge is iyswim...muscles gone flabby I suppose?

Thanks...yrs clueless

Try the Davina Postnatal Workout DVD. Very good at getting those tummy muscles back again!

FA, I've just seen your post on beckmos thread. Glad things seem to be ok with baby FA's dad. Hope that you have enough support all round. Didi you register the name yet?!

To start with, walking (quickly!) for an hour a day will give you some basic tone.

In any running book, there will be exerccises for you 'core' abdominals. They're very hard work, so I suggest the walking for a month or so first!

Pilates is also supposed to be very good for general muscle tone.

My tum was flat within a couple of weeks both times, but it took months before the muscles were firm again.

Enjoy it............ I love that wierd feeling immediately post-birth where everything wobbles like mad when you walk. Hasten to add, DH thought this a little wierd on my part

walking walkng walking walking until you have recovered enough to add some light ab work. If you have time book yourself in for a Pilates class.
