Make sure you get one with a boost button. From Bump2three is one good one.

I don't know, but if you want one free, go to your local Sure Start shop, that's assuming you live near one.

Hire one from Boots. They only really help in disracting you from your contactions anyway. You fiddle with the buttons wondering if the bloody thing is actually working while having sa contraction. Imo that's the point of them! They don't re4ally help with pain as such, imo.

Which ever brand you get make sure it is an Obstetric TENS.

Check that your CMW don't have ones that they loan out. I intended to buy one until mw said they would lend me one

I had this one bookmarked.

And I believe that the trick is to get your partner to put it carefully on your back at the very onset of labour, turn the dial till you can just barely feel a tingle. If the sensation is annoying then you have it turned up too high. Then as labour progresses and the contractions become stronger than the tingle you turn the dial up so that you regain that feint tingle again.

Try tens-hire.co.uk £23.95 for six weeks hire which starts three weeks prior to your due date and continues until three weeks after. There is also a free extension should your require one. They deliver to whole of the UK and guarantee availability even for late and last minute orders.

The service is great and the machine is much more effective than some very well known makes!
