Think it's happening but can't tell

Oh here we go again!

All yesterday and all last night I've been in really bad pain, it feels like I might have strained all the muscles down there - possible as I was moving furniture

(Won't be doing any more of that for a while...)

Woke up properly at 6 with awful pain, thought it'd be going away by now but it's very crampy and painful. Thing is it is a bit like 2 wks ago, ie. nothing really timeable, but constant nasty pain that won't go away and is really upsetting iykwim?

Doula is coming at 10 for some exercises/breathing practise, so will be nice to have her around...but how do you tell if things are really happening? I suppose I could get the midwife to come out but am scared of her just saying 'see how it goes', seems a bit pointless really.

I don't really want to be having baby on the floor suddenly with no help though!

Am 39+5 btw

Hello! Yes, getting worse...thought after the night before and all day yesterday, it would be easing off by now. Like period pain, just stronger...

Swc...no respect due, it was very stupid of me!!!

Last time I had my water break first and thence big Ctx...so it was unmistakeable. So confusing. I rang Mw and could barely speak to her it was hurting so much. She said they can send someone out if I wanted but I said I'll wait for now, don't think it's gonna happen after I had similar 2 weeks ago!

On that note...Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Am now having 'actual' ctx so I think this might be it. Timed them a bit while doula was here, seemed pretty much 3 minutes but have eased up a bit again...well, still hurting loads but less defined again.

Will keep posting as long as poss!

Oh Lulu you're such a sweetie

Just called midwives who said they are sending someone out, I'm not sure what they want to do or anything, I was just after some advice as to whether I should call them yet !
But they seem to be keen to inspect proceedings. And will probably go away again afterwards...

Anyway if I go offline you'll know it probably means I've got someone's hand up my fj. and being told it's another false alarm...
so don't be jealous!!!!

xx

Btw do you have to have had a show for it to be real labour? I never noticed having one last time, but then my waters did go so it probably got washed away then...

Surely I'd have lost something if the cervix is opening up?

I hope this is it for you. It's awful whe nyou get that is it isn't it thing. I was the same with my first, waters leaked 9 days before he was born and almost constant BH until labour started. With the second there was no question it was happening, it hit like a lightening bolt and I had given birth before I really had to time to register I was in labour, lol.

Good luck whatever happens!

OOooohhh.
Sounds like it may be the beginning to me.
I had an annoying uncomfortable pain with ds1 that slowly trasnformed into contractions, but coupled with radiating backache.... Bummer!

Ladies - Oh my. You are all so wonderful.
Have had midwife, who was fantastic, quite a veteran and dismissed all the anaemia/synto worries with a wave of her hand! (I've done a lot of work in farming in my time...') She said the cows never have synto and they get on with it.

ahem. So. Ok, I'm not in 'established labour' and the pain is something to do with little chap pushing down into the pelvis...AGAIN. How many times does he need to do this, and how on earth can it take 3 days of agony?

So a little despondent and I'm sorry to let you all down, after this morning. It feels bloody unbearable now, I can't believe this isn't proper labour... so how rubbish am I going to be when the real deal gets going?!

She said she's on tonight though, and hopes to see me then? So perhaps that is a kind of subtle augur that she reckons it might kick off properly...I hope so, I could do with her around as she is so pro home birth.
She did say it's quite probable that things will start to move now. It hurts SO much...if this goes on much longer I feel like I'll be begging for anything going
