Hi ladies just curious if anybody has been told their having a big baby, I had a hospital appointment yesterday to discuss Birth options, I've been set on a vaginal birth throughout, I've had a previous section and natural birth, but now been told to go back monday morning for a growth scan and been told chances are I'll have to look at plan B Witch I presume will mean section. As I don't think they like to induce you if you have previously had a section!? Just wondering if anyone else has been in this situation, my girls are 8&9 now so it's all new to me again 😂.

Hello,

Yes, I was tracking big (my bump was 51cm) my growth scan showed my baby to be around 9lbs at 37 weeks. They were planning on inducing me but the baby wasn't engaged and my bump grew another 2cm so they opted for a section. Good job really my little boy was 11lbs.

Good luck Flowers

Wow, that's huge, I had my growth scan and little miss is weighing around 7lb4oz now at 36 they think she will be around 9lb at full term, but because I've previously had a section I'm having a section again at 39 weeks unless I was to go into labour before hand, I really don't want to risk any complications, not sure I could pass a 9lb baby 😂,, and thanks hun. Xxx

Hello,

That's good at least you have a plan now, you must be relieved, they told me I would still get a section even if I went into labour before hand so push for that if that's what you want.

Have to admit the prospect of pushing out a big baby terrified me too lol xx

I grow big babies (9 & 10 lbs), so have declined the growth scan because I didn't see the point. I'm measuring 2.5 weeks ahead now at 38 weeks, which is following my growth curve exactly.

Hope it goes well for you.
