My baby came :) after all the decisions regarding VBAC. My waters started going and ended with emergency c section. But he's here!!

Thank you for all of your help. I have loved the support from you lovely lot.

I have a problem... I can't go home until I've done a wee. Any tips for weeing after c section? Just can't go!!! :( feel like I need to but nothing happens. Help!! (Sorry TMI!)

After my section I had a catheter and the wee just came without me feeling it lol. I take it you mean a wee of your own doing? Blush

I didn't have a c section however as I was rushed to surgery as baby heart rate dropped and he was stuck they used forceps and if that didn't work they were going to go straight into c section so gave me an epidural... Luckily for me they got him out with forceps... Anyway they wouldn't let me leave until i had been for at least 2 wees... I drank jugs and jugs of water and still struggled but I went to the loo and like pushed on my bladder that worked for me however after writing all this just realised its really unhelpful as you had a c section snd I can't imagine pressing anywhere near your stomach is an option, hope it happens soon for you oh and congratulations!!

Have tried running a tap while you sit, and also pouring a jug of water over yourself down there?

Get in the shower but have the paper dish thing ready near by as you'll have to catch the evidence!

Tense and release over and over. It'll get your muscles back into action.

I read a magazine to distract me. Also, use a jug to pour water over yourself to get things started and then rapidly catch what you need to when it starts to flow.

I'm going to be totally frank here for getting a wee out post CS.

Go to bathroom. Put on tap and let it run.

Tickle your fanny. And when you get the tickley feeling visualise waterfalls, taps running, melting ice caps, the lot. When you feel the wee starting to descend, even by a millimetre just breathe in and go "oooooooooooooooooh" on the out breath and gently (GENTLY) "push" the wee out.

Sometimes giving your upper inner thigh a tickle can be good too.

This worked for me. I had a hideous mental block post catheter removal and was "ooooohing" with my first few pees. It gets much easier x
