New symptoms feeling in limbo

Hi I'm currently 39+5 with ds4.

All my other starts to labour have been similar. The length of labour has varied but that's all. With all of them contractions start as mild period pain, contractions get stronger, mucous plug is lost and waters go at the pushing stage.

However, this time I had contractions all day Saturday until the early hours of Sunday that amounted to nothing. Then today in the morning I had TMI a brown stringy bit of mucous in my pants and now all day I've had brown/red discharge. But still no contractions. Do you think labour is close? Anyone else started off like this?

I feel in limbo as its all so different.

I had 3 episodes of false labour with my Dd - would contract away for hours but then get no further.
I lost my mucus plug on the Saturday morning (a glob of minging, stringy, egg white stuff in my knickers), waters broke Sunday night but labour didn't start, so I was induced early Tuesday morning and Dd was born at lunchtime.
Hope things get moving for you soon Op!!!

Thanks for replying. I would love my waters to go to at least be induced. It's horrible just waiting isn't it. Poor DH I warned him he would be home today this morning and he managed his full day at work.

Me and DH had rather enthusiastic sex in the half hour before my waters broke Blush maybe give that a go?! Grin
