Weird pain/pressure at 34 weeks

Last night I was getting what I thought was braxton Hicks (tight belly, a little sore but not like cramps) and pain going down into my hips, but I didn't think much of it and went to bed. When I woke up, I felt the same except the pain is a little more like cramps with pressure down there and in my bum. Baby is moving normally, and I'll be 35 weeks on Sunday. I'm not sure what to think - does it sound like just typical getting ready for labour/end of pregnancy stuff? Or is it possible to be pre- term labour? I had a scan at 27 weeks and baby's waist was about the 85-90 percentile and my husband was both early and big so wondering if she's planning to make her arrival soon!

Hey :)
I'm 35weeks on Monday and have been getting all this for about 2 weeks now, midwife told me I'm just getting ready for the big day!
I keep thinking to myself if it is the real deal I'll know.. I'm way excited for him to come now so I'm definitely focusing on every single ache and pain!
Remember tho if in doubt give the midwives a call, even if it is just to put your mind at rest.. No question too silly and at least you'll get a straight answer Smile

Hey Chloe, I'm glad I'm not the only one (although a little sad that she's not arriving, I can't wait). I know what you mean, every pain and I think it's about to kick off! I'm obviously too excited! I will call if I get worried, I just thought I'd see how it goes and wait until I was more sure what was actually going on. I hate phoning, they act like you're an idiot for asking. My baby had a big episode of hiccups lasting 20 minutes and then barely moved for two hours and when I phoned the midwife was so exasperated, and just said it's normal and don't worry! So I thought mumsnet might have advice with less sarcasm! ;)
