Pruni, someone's linked to this from our antenatal thread for you so hopefully she'll see it when she's next online!

Pruni, thank you so much! It's been a truly amazing experience this time around

I can honestly say that I would have never had the emotional strength to contemplate another pregnancy had it not been for all of the wonderful support from all of you lovely MN'ers. From links to birth trauma sites to personal emails from others who had experiences similar to mine - not to mention all of the fabulous advice on threads.

What a great group of women!!! Dh is still in shock at the difference between the two births

LOL jabberwocky Remember we talked a bit about our DHs ....
I remember the day after DD was born DH came to see us ... he opened the door really gingerely and peeped in - terrified of what he would find (with DS I was weeping mess every morning he arrived at the hospital) ... there I was sitting up in bed with a beautific smile on my face feeding the baby ... the scene could not have been different!
He was pretty overwhelmed with relief I have to say, and for weeks afterwards he kept expecting me to lose it .... ... he kept shaking his head in wonder at the difference.

Mumsnet had a big part to play in this I feel - as did the birth trauma site and the support of my magnificent midwife ...

Congratulations Jabberwocky, I am so pleased and happy for you

Your emails were definitely among those that I was thinking about when I typed that. I remember being so surprised that anyone would have the strength to try it again that for the first time I allowed myself the teensiest little hope it could happen.

Funny about your dh's reaction - mine's the same!
