was lying in bed this am and heard a pop and then there was a gush of liquid that definitely wasn't pee, been to the local maternity unit who say they can't be sure one way or the other and to keep an eye on it, been getting small pains ect, has anyone any experience of this and was it your waters or not?

I posted about a popping sound I heard on the pregnancy board and had a lot of posts respond saying they'd heard a pop followed by leaking and it had been their waters going. Unfortunately for me I've had no leakage, but it sounds quite likely in your case. Best of luck.

That's very similar to what happened when my waters broke so pop a bad in & keep an eye on it. My midwife said a good tip is to have some berrocca as it turns your urine orange so you can then prove that the clear liquid isn't just you wetting yourself. Keep in touch with your midwife if you are at all concerned.
