Cauterisation of scar tissue - normal?

This afternoon I ha some granulated scar tissue cauterised, it had been a little sore but not bothering me too much. Since it was cauterised I've had a little blood and drops of discharge, and it's sore - is this normal? I thought cauterising stops bleeding!

Anyone had this?

Hi I had this 4 times and there was a lot of discharge the day or so after. But the relief was immediate, I was in much less pain. And the healing then was much quicker too. Did your gp do it or a consultant? The consultant for me was much me experience d in the procedure than my gp when she did it first.

Hope you're ok.
